Coaches head to Jeddah for VCF Women's Soccer Camp
Two coaches from the VCF Academy are travelling to Saudi Arabia, where from January 8-10th Valencia CF will run a Women's Soccer Camp, in the days prior to the Spanish Supercopa.
"Valencia CF are proud to be pioneers," explains Ramón Mompó, coaching coordinator of the VCF Soccer Academy Programs. "What we want to show in this camp is why the VCF Academy is one of the biggest at a European and world level."
"For me, as a woman and a coach, it is very gratifying to help all the women who want to dedicate themselves to women's football in Saudi Arabia," explains Natalia García, the VCF Femenino B coach who will also participate in the running of the camp.
The camp will be carried out together with the Jeddah Pro Football Academy and in collaboration with The Futbol Office, in a country that is taking its first steps in this modality and that in 2022 created its own women's national team.
Nearly 40 players have already signed up.

There will be practical sessions with the players and training sessions with the coaches interested in learning the Valencia CF methodology.
This camp is the first step in a process through which Valencia CF intend to develop women's football in various countries in the Middle East. Several countries have already shown interest in using the club to promote women's football in the same way that VCF Soccer Academies in Seattle, Houston, Canada and Greece achieve such a feat.

This 1st Valencia CF Women's Campus in Saudi Arabia is another example of Valencia CF's commitment to equality and the empowerment of women, which was already reflected in the agreement signed in 2015 by president Layhoon Chan with UN Women to promote gender equality.

The commitment to women's football and the integration of all women's grassroots football into the VCF Academy made the club finalists in the most recent edition of the ECA Women’s Football Award.
